24 things I’m thankful for

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and my age, here’s a list of 24 things I’m thankful for:

  1. I’m thankful to have such a supportive family & amazing siblings who are also hilarious
  2. for technology to talk with the fam from afar on Thanksgiving!
  3. good books to read + audio books (harry potter was such a delight to get lost in!)
  4. to not have to worry about water, electricity, or other necessities
  5. good, supportive friends ❤
  6. my trusty North Face rain jacket which has kept me dry for over a year now — hey I use it on a near-daily basis
  7. free yoga videos online + the ability to practice yoga
  8. having a swimming pool nearby & time to go swimming – really essential for my mental health during the long winter months
  9. having time to pursue creative work
  10. for the generosity of acquaintances who have let me borrow a mattress and bedding for the past two months
  11. for pumpkin, so I could make a pumpkin cheesecake pie
  12. I’m thankful to just be alive & healthy & that family members are also healthy & doing ok
  13. I’m thankful I get to go home for Christmas & thankful I get to enjoy the Christmas markets here in Austria!
  14. coffee 🙂 ❤
  15. tea — especially tea for sore throats
  16. oh and good dark chocolate, of course 😉
  17. the used (but new for me) laptop that makes it a lot easier for me to blog and therefore write
  18. for the ability to walk and bike and run and move
  19. for the polaroid camera which is a lot of fun, even if it is partially broken
  20. for such an amazing place to live that makes me feel comfortable — home away from home
  21. music, which brings so much joy and wonder
  22. Netflix, internet, & that whole sort of thing
  23. A washing machine in my apartment (no going up and down stairs even. Amazing.)
  24. mountains everywhere ❤

What are you thankful for?

Sarah

I’m thankful for you, Sarah, and the precious years I could be at home with all my children. What a privilege! I’m thankful for great books to read and impromptu a cappella singing of Christmas carols and that my mom and dad have made it to celebrate 50 years of faithful, sacrificial marriage. Love you!

leave a kind thought :)
