spring II
when the mountains shed their winter manes
and the wind sighs down the valley,
when the trees lift their heads to shake their hair free
and all the viridescent buds dance and caress each other’s hands,
we waft half a second in the nascent April breeze
to sway like the giddy waltzing leaves
as our branches catch the current
i hold my breath in hope
our dangling arms and blossom-palms
brush and kiss as they’re swept up.

Hi Sarah,
Spring has finally sprung here in the arctic north! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing a production of The Importance of Being Earnest – especially a ukelele duel and the exaggerated puffy sleeves of the ladies’ costumes. Also rereading Jane Austen – there is so much that can’t be conveyed in a movie.
It is good to read what fills your time. Your posts always give me something to think about!
May God guide you in choosing which opportunities to take advantage of in your time in Europe.
hi Aunt Lori, thank you! Ah, the Importance of Being Earnest–such a hilarious one. I’ve been wanting to reread Pride and Prejudice lately–started it over Christmas, but didn’t have time to finish it.
