The bakery…!

Well I’m just going to start right in with the goods here. Today’s adventure: Austrian bakery!
After class, me and my classmates decided it was high time to find a bakery. Plus all our poor brains were exhausted from language and everything, and jetlag. I wanted to get my mind off of ticks, the topic we learned about today (as if I’m not paranoid enough!)

WE wandered around for not very long (it is, after all, Austria!) into a lovely bakery, with a very friendly shopowner, who didn’t mind that we took forever to decide. As soon as I saw they had a Schokocroissant I knew that’s what I wanted 😉 Plus an espresso, because in my opinion, it’s sacrilegious to eat a pastry without some coffee.

The yummy inside. It was delicious.

Afterwards I wandered around Graz for a little bit, with no particular plan. It’s strange to think that today is my 4th day in Austria. I can already tell that my time is going to go by really fast! I already feel really settled, and I’m surprised how comfortable and at home I feel in Graz. It’s a cool city, lots of students, and lots to do. Yesterday I found a Yoga studio that I want to go back to. :} I think I’ve always been a little more cut out for the European-life, though. We’ll see how I feel at the end of the summer 😉

It was nice just to walk around and try to clear my brain. This immersion has been a lot to take in, and it’s only day 2 of classes. It’s also really frustrating to want to be at a certain level or more advanced and not be. It’s all a process, though, and I hope that it just gets easier and I get better.

Tomorrow’s adventure….lindyyyy hop! I hope I’m not as rusty on my lindy as I am with the language. 😉

Looks delish. God has certainly blessed you with housing for the fall and this wonderful experience in Europe.

Nom, nom, nom. I am really missing kaffee and kuchen with you! Keep persevering through the immersion process and think how much better you’ll be speaking by the time you get to Berlin. 🙂

So glad you found a neat place to gather and get a yummy bite to eat. All of the selections look very tasty. I’m sure that your ear will soon become attuned to the German and things will become easier for you. I remember that happening in French class in high school. Now that was a loooong time ago:)

So excited for you Sarah – Sounds like you are having a great time; enjoy every minute!! love, aunt mona
